Customer Services: Companies Getting it Right
It’s a bit of a cliché in the world of customer service that “a happy customer will tell one person, an unhappy one will tell twelve.” I thought I’d bust that particular myth with a post on companies whose customer service has made me happy recently.
MacWarehouse:
I’ve recently had my second experience of dealing with MacWarehouse’s service department and both times I have been more than impressed. Their staff are polite, friendly, highly competent and are given the latitude to actually get things done, on the spot. Calls aren’t subjected to long waits, and any delays are apologised for. They also call you back when they say they will – and keep you up to date with any queries that can’t be handled immediately. All in all, it’s hard to believe that such good service comes from the same company that is behind PCWorld!
Chanel:
Another company whose service has blow me away recently is Chanel. My call was answered within seconds of the phone ringing, and although my query couldn’t be dealt with immediately my call was returned within minutes. The representative was very apologetic, indeed she seemed genuinely mortified that the particular fault had occurred, and was extremely courteous. Would I mind packaging and returning the item, I was asked, so that they can send me a replacement immediately. I was never talked down to, never doubted in my word and I’ve come away all the more impressed by the brand, knowing that their dedication to quality goes beyond products.
So, dear readers, have you any good experiences of customer service to report? Share in the comments and let’s celebrate the companies that get it right for a change!
